Common Application & Resume-Writing
Get it done in 2 hours! Chapman Educational Services facilitators will guide you step by step through (1) the process of setting up and filling out the common application (the essay is not included) and (2) drafting and formatting a solid resume draft. Believe it or not, 2 hours is all you need, and then you can get on with your summer! Attendees are welcome to connect with workshop facilitators after the workshop is complete to receive one final edit and revision of their resume before final submission.
Conquering the College Essay in Two Sessions
This 5-hour program is divided into 2 sessions over 2 days. Students will be guided through the college essay writing process from brainstorming to writing a solid first draft. Bang it out before senior year! Participants will have access to writing counselors for 3 edit/revision opportunities via email after the event. Students must bring their laptops and be ready to focus and get the work done!

Engage Early and Often: Career Development
What should students be mindful of as they plan for their career and how can parents support them along the way? In this webinar, Career Consultant, Vicky Keller will share her experience in coaching college students through the discovery, exploration and planning process of career development. She will highlight the key ingredients to successfully navigate the transition from high school to college and why it is important to engage early and often in one’s career growth and development.

Center yourself and get started on your college supplements in 2 hours! You thought you were done applying, but now you see there are more essays to write that are specific to each university. How do you approach it? What are these colleges looking for? Let Chapman Ed program facilitators guide you through the process of approaching the ever-annoying: Why X University? prompt along with others that often prove to be difficult or downright frustrating as students consider specific reasons why they might choose a school, and how to approach other questions that are commonly found in supplements. Chapman Ed workshop facilitators will look over up to 3 colleges' supplements for one edit and revision post-workshop via email.
